Lovely lively country side. Cozy streets. Lazy strolls on narrow streets, enjoying peacefully the marvelous interior of quiet church and relaxing with delicious hot chocolate at a street side coffee shop make a perfect evening

Lovely romantic place to stay❤️The choice for breakfast is fantastic. The food and service was great too. Very nice bar.
One of the best B&B I’ve been to. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable about the area and helpful. We stayed there for a weekend during the Scallop week and it was amazing. The B&B main area has charm with a bar where you can help yourself, a little and cosy reading room, an excellent breakfast, they also serve gluten free bread with a vegan option. The room was nice and clean. Definitely would recommend. Ideally located in the centre.

Beautiful property, nicely run. All the Henry James information you need, plus a great tea shop in the grounds. I loved the vegetable garden and the incredibly peaceful walled garden with lots of benches to sit and think. The ding room table has HJ and his contemporaries' books scattered about and you are invited to sit and read. Getting up the cobbled hill is difficult for the elderly/disabled but you can actually drive to the door to drop off, but parking is better at he bottom of the hill in the little parking lot by the river. Great tea/scones in the cafe! makes a nice day out
We happened upon this by mistake as we had not originally planned on stopping in Rye. A very charming little city that we would have loved to have spent more time in. When I googled places of interest, this was on the top of the list. We only had time to walk by and take a few exterior photos. Next time we'll plan to see the house and the gardens.
