Parts of the present church date from the 11th Century but there was a complete rebuilding in 1220 and many alterations since then. Prebendary Frewer (a notable Tractarian) took over the parish in 1896, and a major restoration was started in 1897. Easy to miss but worth a visit, when I was here there was something going on inside so did not go in and have no idea if this Church is open to visitor's, it is on my list for a revisit to find out.

Peasmarsh church is lovely. Several members of my family are buried there. Visited in the summer of 2014. Pity the graveyard was so badly maintained. Look for the Hales headstones. Will visit again when in the area.
